On October 15, the 2024 National Cocoon and Silk Industry High Quality Development Site Conference hosted by the China Silk Association, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the Hechi Municipal People's Government was held in Hechi, Guangxi. With the joint efforts of all parties, the development of the industry has maintained a positive trend, new breakthroughs have been made in scientific and technological innovation, the silk consumption boom continues to rise, and the influence of silk culture continues to increase.

Sheng Qiuping stressed that it is necessary to thoroughly implement the relevant decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, accelerate the construction of a modern cocoon and silk industry system, and effectively enhance the development momentum and innovation vitality of the industry. The unbalanced and inadequate development of the entire industry is still prominent.
