From the survey, the phenomenon of cotton yarn accumulation increased compared with July, but did not reach the "warning line" level.

On the one hand, cotton spinning enterprises have the intention of actively hoarding conventional cotton yarn, such as C32, c40s, etc;

On the other hand, since August, the current price of cotton and cotton yarn has increased significantly. Downstream weaving, fabric, clothing and foreign trade enterprises need time to digest the pressure of rising costs. They make more inquiries about cotton yarn, but the actual delivery is less than that in the earlier period.

So where is the foundation for cotton spinning enterprises to raise the price of cotton yarn again?

The industry is summarized as follows:

First, Vietnam, Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries have witnessed a resurgence of the new epidemic, and cotton textile and clothing enterprises have been more and more impacted (according to the statistics of Vietnam textile and clothing association, 30% to 35% of garment factories in the country have closed down), and orders will accelerate to flow back to China. Second, in the past week or so, the import cotton yarn shipping and bonded quotation continued to be strong, and the center of gravity continued to move upward. The price comparison effect stimulated cotton mills to raise prices;

Third, the upgrading of epidemic prevention and control measures in Jiangsu, Hubei, Hunan and other provinces has affected the production and delivery of cotton yarn to varying degrees, and the overall supply of cotton yarn has weakened;

Fourth, in the past week or so, the cotton period has increased significantly, and some cotton spinning mills have purchased raw materials at high prices. As a result, the net profit of cotton spinning mills has decreased. Textile enterprises are eager to transfer the rising cost of raw materials to downstream and terminal units.
